Dr. Atif Collins is a fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the eyelids, orbit, and face. Dr. Collins is one of only 700 surgeons in the United States certified by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), a distinction that reflects his exceptional qualifications and commitment to excellence. He is also board-certified with advanced cosmetic surgery training.
A proud fourth-generation Northern Californian, Dr. Collins was born in Oakland and raised near Sacramento. He earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley before completing a research year at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, the primary affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic. During his training, he was selected for the highly competitive Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program at the National Eye Institute, where he studied mechanisms of ocular inflammation.
Dr. Collins completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a prestigious ASOPRS-accredited fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University. He then served for three years as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery at Case Western, where he helped train the next generation of surgeons.
Recognized on America’s Best Ophthalmologists list and a graduate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Leadership Development Program, Dr. Collins is a Fellow of:
